Sculptures in solid bronze. Created in Burkina Faso, Africa. Each piece is unique, using the ancient technic of the lost wax, developed in a refined and unusual way. The sculpture presents a graceful head wrapped apart of the lips. The masking of the bronze magnify the fascination. Echoes to the academic marble veiled sculptures of the 18th and 19th centuries and the sacred African masks. The bronzes are the size of a human head and kept in gold color to render the ancestral and contemporary. These heads are, and more and more as you watch them, raw beauty and presence, nearly as they contain an history that is to be revealed.

Works in silk of Lyon. It moves with the air movements. The silk is layered, dyed or burned giving the impression it is in fire. The pieces use the silk lightness, transparency, shine, folding, light & shadow, and the nobility and history of the fabric. It creates a frame of a beauty both sensual and violent and an ensemble of veils, allegory of one’s inner layers.
